Purpose of practical

The purpose of this practical is to familiarise yourself with basic Emacs commands.

Familiarization with essential EMACS

Have a careful look at the handout on EMACS available from CSM help desk and the web page emacs tutorial, then try out the exercise below.

Practice with Emacs

Copy the java source file provided into your java directory and referring to the EMACS tutorials above correct, compile and run the program.
